The Intellect And The Heart Essay Example
The Intellect And The Heart Essay Messages from the spirit that started by naming things, and which in time developed into still more, increasingly complex stories, are still with us today. We consider these messages something very similar we did in antiquated occasions: verse, which is itself gotten from the old Greek root, poiein: to make. Not to compose lines, meter, rhymes, refrains, however just to make something where there was nothing previously. This is the thing that makes them immortal. My involvement in verse has been not been restricted, yet to comprehend the substance of verse took quite a while. I comprehended verse when I was in eleventh grade in Pakistan, and since the time it has pulled in me, particularly otherworldly verse. My first experience with it was a sonnet by an extremely well known artist, Dr Mohammad Allama Iqbal. His sonnet The Intellect And The Heartâ had a quick effect on me. Verse is a fundamental and basic type of human workmanship, which is the reason we as a whole can identify with it. When perusing or composing verse we naturally realize that something significant has happened. At the point when our own sonnets come to us, we treat them as hallowed occasions. Nobody needs to advise us to do that, we naturally do it, on the grounds that each fiber of our being realizes we have gotten something like elegance, that the spirit itself has addressed us, and for us. Correspondingly through this sonnet The Intellect And The Heart I have realized what I would have taken years. During perusing this sonnet it unfolded upon me that information doesn't prompt the appreciation of the Essence of God. The heart guides one to the last objective. Before perusing this sonnet I needed to find out about the writers life and the impact under which he composed it. What struck me while perusing this sonnet was that through his utilization of Intellect and Heart (Intuition) he has attempted to clarify the debate of the general adequacy of these two methods for knowing reality with regards to the presence and the pith of God and His relationship with the universe, both material and otherworldly. I was astounded my self to arrive at this thought while perusing it as this very debate is a piece of each Muslim life. This sonnet gave me another part of looking through God. Not through the natural eyes however with a comprehension and commitment. To comprehend the presence of God we need to glance with in our own self and need to look with all knowledge and love towards God to discover him. This in itself is an achievement for us. This is the very message that I got from this sonnet. It had a positive encounter and I was in a period of making a decision about Gods presence without searching for him. In his sonnet the writer has utilized Intellect (Knowledge), thinking and legitimate deduction equivalently for methods of securing the information on the material universe. The ways relying on the above resources are the material methods of experimentation and thinking. Thus, he has utilized Heart, Intuition, and love of God, confidence, faith in the real factors of the inconspicuous or supernatural universe, in view of disclosure, interchangeably for the methods for procuring information on the otherworldly universe. In the matter of the debate of Intellect and Intuition he has perceived two distinct circumstances in one of which Intellect gets priority over Intuition and in the other the priority is turned around; for instance Learning is from you, however Divine Knowledge is from me You just look for Divinity, however demonstrating Divinity I am. I saw that here the writer has recognized that mind or Intellect is the wellspring of adapting however the heavenly nature can just originates from heart. I additionally saw that through this technique for verse he has attempted to show that such radiant information can't be accomplished through Intellect or duty alone. These two powers need to work one next to the other as a framework so as to accomplish a full comprehension of God. This framework has been talked about in numerous books, yet I felt more pulled in and moved by this sonnet as it had addresses numerous inquiries in regards to the job knowledge and convictions. Essentially Iqbal additionally said that Concerned with the show request you are and familiar with the internal I am The other angle if this sonnet went to my understanding when I explored the time, spot and impact this sonnet was written in. To totally comprehend the message of this sonnet we need to comprehend, that at that specific time the Muslim country was experiencing an unpleasant piece of history. This sonnet tended to two parts of Muslim life. One is about the Divine information and the other is the renaissance and revival of the Muslim world and Muslim society with the goal that it might recapture its lost situation on the planet network, through the double assignment of inward recreation and external acclimation to the changed states of the current day world. Which require Intuition just as Intellect. The last has priority over the previous. Subsequently the writer has tended to two issues looked by Muslims everywhere throughout the world. Seeing the sonnet in an alternate point of view I came to realize that these the two objectives can be accomplished just, in the event that we commit our selves completely to God, which would thusly additionally reinforce our country. This sonnet contains two messages covered up in one another and shows that an ideal concordance portion exists between our heart and psyche. Which is that through information (INTELLECT) and commitment (Intuition) we can accomplish internal harmony as one needs inward harmony to dig deep and afterward observe the world through an educated eye, just and at exactly that point the secrets of world will be illuminated and God can be discovered present in each part of nature. This is the last message I got from this sonnet. I like it since it clarifies the intricate connection of insight and instinct and that it must coincides. Where Intellect will stoppage Devotion or Intuition will take over as Intuition is the guide and insight is the motor and this connection transport resembles a machine which will empower us to discover our way towards a comprehension of Gods presence and the puzzling manners by which he works.

The Many Uses of Swipe
The Many Uses of Swipe The Many Uses of ââ¬Å"Swipeâ⬠The Many Uses of ââ¬Å"Swipeâ⬠By Maeve Maddox Ben composes: I have seen the changing in use of words. At the point when I was growing up ââ¬Å"to swipe a cardâ⬠(Mastercards were not around at that point) intended to take it and now you see the term ââ¬Å"swipe the clients card.â⬠No oneââ¬â¢s very sure where this word swipe began. Itââ¬â¢s family to clear and dive. Every one of the three words recommend a wide clearing movement. They can be utilized as things or as action words. A player rips into the ball. (thing) A server swipes a table with a towel. (action word) A bird of prey dives down on a chicken. (action word) Macduff, learning of the homicide of his family, cries: All? What, All my pretty Chickens, and their Damme, At one fell swoope?â⬠(thing) A housewife clears the means. (action word) A drama diva clears onto the phase in a long outfit. (action word) A player makes a decisive victory of the considerable number of stakes. (thing) The compound thing sweepstakes, which means ââ¬Å"prize won in a race or contestâ⬠entered the language in 1773. A previous type of the word, swepestake existed in Middle English with the significance ââ¬Å"one who ranges or wins all the stakes in a game.â⬠King Henry VII of England had a boat with that name. The action word sideswipe, ââ¬Å"to hit with a looking blow,â⬠dates from 1917. Its most basic use is in discussing vehicles: His mom was sideswiped by a driver in a green pickup truck. Swipe with the significance of ââ¬Å"to stealâ⬠is a tenderfoot, dating from 1889. This importance is said to have begun as dramatic slang utilized of on-screen characters taking jokes or stage schedules from each other. Like Ben, I would have thought, growing up, that ââ¬Å"to swipe a cardâ⬠intended to take it. That feeling of swipe is as yet current. Swipe meaning ââ¬Å"to run a credit cardâ⬠came into utilization during the 1990s. Practically speaking thereââ¬â¢s most likely very little possibility of befuddling the two implications since setting will make the distinction understood: I swiped my Mastercard. The agent swiped my Visa. Someone swiped my Mastercard. Another mainstream utilization of swipe in the articulation ââ¬Å"to take a swipe atâ⬠with the importance ââ¬Å"to criticizeâ⬠or ââ¬Å"to make an obnoxious ambush onâ⬠or even, maybe, as in the Google citation beneath, ââ¬Å"to threatenâ⬠: Lindsey Graham Takes Another Swipe At Glenn Beck Google Takes Another Swipe at Newspapers And Magazines With Fast Flip The Vampire Diaries rips into Stephenie Meyers Twilight The New Yorker takes a swipe atâ everyone Obviously swipe is a word we like to use in an assortment of settings. My lone proposal is that Iââ¬â¢d abstain from utilizing swipe as an equivalent for ââ¬Å"to stealâ⬠in a genuine setting. Itââ¬â¢s satisfactory enough when utilized in a non-larcenous setting among companions: Who swiped the last doughnut? He was drinking, so I swiped his vehicle keys. Utilized of genuine violations of burglary, it turns into a doublespeak to mellow a horrendous demonstration. For instance, this feature about the two adolescents who took weapons from a firearm bureau and proceeded to kill five individuals and wound ten others: School shooters swiped weapons from opened rack what's more, these: Hoodlums swipe links to capitalize on taking off estimation of salvaged material the casualty left his structure, which is close to 75th Street, the prior night just to return at 10 am to find his vintage ball cards, esteemed at $2,000, had been swiped. I see no motivation to keep away from the more grounded and increasingly exact word take in such settings. Need to improve your English in a short time a day? International Brand and Marketing Case Study - 1650 Words
International Brand and Marketing (Case Study Sample) Content: International Brand Communication and Management: Case Study of Skoda Automobile Manufacturer[Authorà ¢Ã¢â ¬s Name][Universityà ¢Ã¢â ¬s Name]IntroductionThis report aims at evaluating the branding and communication approach that has been adopted by Skoda to remain competitive within the automobile industry. This involves the analysis of the key concepts that have been applied by the company and the key challenges that the company faces.Situation AnalysisPoliticalThe situational context of Skoda automobile manufactures could be evaluated based on the various external environment elements that impact on its performance. Among the key factors include the PEST factors. Key among these elements is the political dimension. In this regard, Skoda faces massive challenges in terms of balancing between the policies that are made in Germany and the Czech Republic. Skoda, which was incorporated in Czech Republic, is owned by Volkswagen, a German company (ING, 2015). This cr eates a conflict of policies since the company has to ensure that it abides by the government policies that have been set in either country. This creates an even bigger challenge since the management has to consider implementing the organization policies CITATION Nic07 \l 1033 (Wreden, 2007). This creates a major challenge for the company as it seeks to perform effectively within the highly competitive market.EconomicSkoda has been operating in different markets across the globe. This includes major markets such as Russia, Ukraine among others. Its operations in the European region are an implication that it has been vulnerable to the economic trends that have engulfed the market. This includes the recent Euro zone crisis that impacted greatly on the levels of demand for cars offered by the company. Skoda copes with this challenge within its operations by focusing on other market internationally where the economic situation is more favourable. In future, the expansion of the brand into other market may be a positive factor that helps the company deal with the emerging economic challenges.Porterà ¢Ã¢â ¬s Five ForcesBargaining power of buyersThis could be viewed as the extent to which the consumers in the market influence the decisions made by a company in the respective market. The bargaining power of the consumers in the car industry in which Skoda operates is high. This is because there are many buyers of the cars who have adequate knowledge about the product. At the same time, there are many sellers that offer homogenous products CITATION Jea12 \l 1033 (Kapferer, 2012). This has been one of the main challenges for Skoda as it seeks to lure consumers towards purchasing its cars. While dealing with this challenge, the company uses strategies such as advertising and other promotional efforts so as to lure the consumers towards their brand. This is also part of the approach used by the company to develop consumer loyalty within the market.Competitive rival ryThe competitive rivalry could be viewed as the extent to which players within the industry compete for the market share. The company faces stiff competition from some of the major brands within the industry. They include companies such as Peugeot, Daimler among others CITATION Leh14 \l 1033 (Lehner, 2014). Therefore, the focus of the company has been to provide a variety of car models through innovation. It focuses on introducing new car models in the market with competitive features. Some of the models that have been offered by the company include the Octavia and the Fabia among others. In future, the company plans to introduce more models in the market so as to attract an even bigger market share.Branding StrategySkodaà ¢Ã¢â ¬s Brand TriangleCustomer experienceThis is the extent to which a brand seeks to create a connection with the consumers in the market. It is an important factor that seeks to develop the levels of customer retention within the market of operation (Zhang, 2013). In the case of Skoda, there has been great focus on the provision of high quality customer care. This is done through the online support and telephones. The company seeks to reassure the customers that they are supported in any issue they may be experiencing within the cars they have purchased. To a great extent, this has been one of the areas that have enhanced the performance of Skoda within the car manufacturing industry. Te main aspect that has served as a differentiation point for the company has been the association of the core principles of the brand including honesty. This helps in luring the consumers in the market towards purchasing the cars that are offered by the company. Other elements of customer service that have been used pillars towards shaping the positive performance of the Skoda brand is the after sale services. The company has sought to maintain strong relationships with the customer by providing after sale services. Such services include advice on the r outine maintenance of the cars and ways that they could improve the efficiency. Therefore, this has played a key role in enhancing the competitive position of the company over time.Emotional appealThe emotional appeal that is used by a brand is also an important element that shapes the outlook within the specific industry of operation. This involves the process of creating a link with the consumers and generating the perception relating to the specific brand. It is one of the most important factors that influence the level of success that a brand achieves within the industry (TODOR, 2014). In the perspective of Skoda, the emotional appeal has been key focus point in luring the customers in the market. This has involves the process of passing information to the consumers on the various elements of the cars offered that are unique. This creates a specific interpretation of the cars by the consumers within the market and lures them into making the actual purchase. Some of the element s that have been used by the company in convincing the consumers in the market regarding the levels of uniqueness of the products includes conform and reliability. These are key factors that the consumers of cars focus on while making the purchase. Therefore, the extent to which a brand within an industry is able to generate an emotional response from the consumers based on such concepts influence success. Over the years, the emotional appeal by Skoda to the consumers has been of great significance in improving the levels of sales. This has been more significant in the highly competitive sector where the rivals within the industry have introduced new car models within the market (SWAMINATHAN, 2015). Skoda has been able to leverage on the emotional attachment to the consumers in developing a level of loyalty from the consumers.FunctionalityThis is an aspect of branding that focuses on providing the consumers with products that meet their expectations in terms of features and benefits . Customers within the market are mostly interested in the ability of a company to deliver products that meets the description that has been provided CITATION Gra15 \l 1033 (Graffigna, 2015). When the actual products fail to meet such expectations, its sales volumes may decline. This may also involve the damaging of the reputation of the brand that has offered the product in the market. In the case of Skoda, the focus on functionality has been mainly linked with the drive to strengthen the brand in the market. Some of the features and benefits that are offered by the Skoda cars as part of attaining and maintaining a competitive edge in the market include unique design, high performing engines in the cars, comfort and safety. Consumers in the car market tend to place such elements as high level priority CITATION Har15 \l 1033 (Hariharan, 2015). The extent to which the car that has been purchased meets the key indicators shapes the decision to buy. Other key areas that have been us ed by Skoda in creating brand strength within the market include the use of technology and differentiation in terms of car colours and shapes. This has also been a key development influencing the performance of the brand within the highly competitive car manufacturing industry. This is also in response to the approaches and strategies that are implemented by the rival companies within the industry. The management of Skoda has placed such factors as key part of ensuring that the demands of the consumers are met through the brand. Over time, the competitive positioning of the company has been greatly improved. The key challenge that has been faced by the company in the process of maintaining an edge on such factors has been the dynamic competitive environment CITATION CAR141 \l 1033 (CARTER, 2014). For instance, changes in technology within the car manufacturing industry have made it complex for the company to be up to date. The technology that may be considered as unique by the comp any at one point may become obsolete within a short period of time. Therefore, Skoda has found ità ¢Ã¢â ¬s appropriate to use other elements within the structure to ensure that it maintains a competitive advantage within the car manufacturing industry over time.Skodaà ¢Ã¢â ¬s Brand OnionThe brand onion could also be used in the illustration of the extent to which Skoda has embraced the aspect of branding. This also provides key details of the focus areas of a company towards maintaining its brand strength within the market. In the case of Skoda, one of the key elements that have shaped its performance is the value for money. This has been the key drive that has impacted positively on the brand over time. The company ensures that the price that the consumers have paid for the products are in line with what they have purchase. This has been through offering cars that are efficient and in line with prevailing standards...

I think that he wanted to show how people aged and how you can paint or draw them in different styles of materials. His mother is the main focus of this series of portraits. The image can be interpreted as quite plain and boring. He maybe is trying to say that that his mother is ill and as people get older they become slower and less agile so in his eyes boring and simple. I think that the Hockney is expressing is opinions about his mum being ill and fragile and also the dark feint colours which could mean that he is sad and depressed about the condition of his mother. Hockney is usually renowned for big and bright paintings. When I went to his summer exhibition some of his work was over three times bigger than me and also the colours were like poster paint, they were so bright. On the other hand this painting is quite grey and watery. In some of his other paintings of his mother he was influenced by cubism and Pablo Picasso by distorting the face a lot. In this painting I think Hockney has used a fountain pen and ink or pencils, Iââ¬â¢m not sure. Again he is going against his normal use of bright coloured paints. He might of used lines and not filled in the face and hair to show that she is not what she used to be like.
